What is the best book for learning to master texas holdem?

Emphasis would be on learning how to play the odds and understanding hand strength.

Doyle Brunson's "Super System 1 & 2" ….known as the "bible" of poker….get them on Ebay or Amazon

    Although Phil Gordon is generally regarded as "not very talented" to be nice, his books are quite good.

    Little Blue book. Little Green Book, and Little Red Book by Phil Gordon are worth reading…

    And as has already been mentioned, Supersystem is a must read also.

    If your an advanced player then super system and Dan Harrington's 3 books are outstanding reads for sure. But if your just starting out then i would say that i would read a book by ken warren called winning low limit hold em. It's the first poker book i ever read and its a very simple basic book to start with.
